DINNER
I'm sooooo utterly incredibly tremendously tired, no joke. With only 5 hours of sleep last night and work all day I was ready to throw in the towel at 6pm. Somehow the fitness Gods gave me the strength to go on.
I went for my hair appointment and got my hair did (just a micro trim and some color, nothing new) and met up with my friend for our kickboxing work out. This was my first time at it so I really didn't know what to expect. When we got to the gym the room we needed was still occupied with a class so Rene had me do some lifting. Once we got in the room it was non stop movement. From high knee lifts to one two punches to sprints and kicks and jabs and uppercuts and jumps, oh my! By the time we were done I was seeing stars and then good old Rene turns to me and says, "so, that's like 1/3 of the class. The rest is a lot harder and I didn't want to wear you out." Let's just say I'm going to sleep like an overfed baby tonight.
My post workout meal was a little odd. Having eaten my Think Thin bar not much earlier, I wasn't very hungry after our workout. I still had to eat to replenish my muscles and to make my tummy happy luckily I knew EXACTLY what I wanted. When I got home I went straight to the kitchen and got an egg, an avocado, and a red baby bell pepper out. All I wanted was a fried egg with sliced avocado and sliced peppers with a side of cilantro and jalapeno hummus. Sounds odd but it hit the spot! Sooo delicious. I love the sweetness of the pepper and the creaminess of the avocado. With a sprinkle of nutritional yeast on the eggs and this meal was outta this world for me. You know...sometimes you can't explain why the body wants what it wants, you just gotta listen. FYI: Trader Joe's Cilantro and Jalapeno hummus is amazing! I'd trade my right ear for a tub of it. Not really but really...it's that good.

Hummus is so easy to make. You'll save a bundle by making your own without all those additives.
