INTRODUCTION
Sinfully thin is my blog dedicated to chronicling my diet and exercise routines geared towards living a healthier lifestyle. For the past two years I've been in a blissful relationship both with my SO (significant other) and with food. We've had the pleasure of wining and dining as we please and eating until our hearts content without worrying about our weight or attending the gym. Needless to say ten plus pounds and a muffin top later, some damage control is in order.
While I am not overweight, I am what some would call "skinny fat." Tall and thin but with some extra pudge, 5'8" 150 lbs. By professional standards, my numbers are in the normal/high range but even so I hated feeling groggy and restless all the time even with a full eight of hours sleep. - Granted some of these morning were to blame on the $5 martini deals at my local happy hour spot, but we'll just focus on the bigger picture... I was eating anything I wanted and eating even when I was full, purely out of boredom. I was gradually gaining weight and was constantly having to buy new clothes, not that that's a bad thing. I hated how I looked and how my clothes fit and especially how bad I was feeling all the time. So on February 2, 2010 I decided that it was time to make a life change and really get serious about getting fit.
While my diet now consists of mostly healthy foods, I do have quite a bit of sinful pleasures that I cannot give up such as chocolate, cake, french fries, cheeseburgers, pizza... well, you get the idea. I love to cook and I love to eat so my definition of being healthy doesn't mean having eating rice cakes all day. Through this blog I hope you enjoy my reading about my ups and downs and the fun I have along the way in my journey to getting in better shape and leading a healthier diet. Thanks for reading!!!
